Earth Day

On Earth Day, we are suppose to cut down on electricity. Ways we could help earth :

-don't use elevators as much

-turn the ac off. 

-turn off lights 

-less tv

-don't drive too much

- don't use too many electrical devices 

-riding a bike

-shorter showers

On earth day, we try to do things that is good for the earth. 

Plastic killing leatherback turtles.

Plastic has been found in the digestive systems of the leatherback turtles. 400 leatherback turtles have died since 1885. The leatherback turtles feed on jellyfishes. But, since plastic looks like jellyfish, the turtles also eat the plastic. Eating plastic is unhealthy for animals and humans. 

Rare Hyenas arrived at animal park.

A pair of hyenas showed up at a wild animal park at Kent. They were taken to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park from Prague. There are about 10,000 brown hyenas left in the wild. This news was updated to bbc.com on the 9th of April, 2009. The keepers of the wild park hoped that the pair of brown hyenas would breed. 

Spears apologizes for delay of the concert.

Spears' concert was delayed by 30 minutes. The delay took place because the crew above the stage became ill due to the ventilation issue. The news was updated on 9th of March, 2009.  The delay was in Vancouver, Canada.
