Puppy given up on Christmas Day

An unwanted puppy was given to the animal shelter on Christmas day. The Dog Trust said that a couple in Scotland had bought the puppy as a gift for themselves but then decided they could not take care of the puppy themselves. The couple named the puppy Theo. Staff took Theo home with them, worried that the puppy would be scared. People buy dogs as a gift and then abandon the dogs in a short time. None of the Dog Trust rehoming center allowed anybody to buy dogs until 2nd January, to prevent from people abandoning dogs.

The barriers of education

Most children gets basic education. They go to school, but they drop out of school before finishing their primary education. The children who do attends school, receives a poor education because of untrained, underpaid teachers and lack of school equipment. The countries that have this problem is because the government is lacking money and the governmental will to solve this problem. In a perfect but not real world, children would have to finish at least the primary education. They have to because, a child will no have the basic skills to function well in the society, one individual failure means the whole society fails. The cost of having children educated outweighed the cost of not having children educated. Some countries could not have free education for the children because the tax base is very small or because the people refuse to pay tax.

Hanging Fire

Hanging Fire

The main idea of the poem is about a black boy who was treated unfairly by the world. The poem is not a simile. It has no rhyming and no beat to it. It is really sad about the boy and the things that he has go through. I think that his mother has committed suiside because she is always in her room and she doesn't seem to care for her own son. The stanzas of the poem is in short sentences. I imagine that this poem means a lot to the author since it could be him, the poor black boy.

Mother convicted of kidnapping her own daughter

Sharon Mathews was kidnapped in February and was held for 24 days. The kidnappers, Mathews and Donovan, claimed that they wanted the reward money. Many found it hard to imagine what type of mother would kidnap her own children for reward money." I'm a mum myself and know I would have been out of my mind and Karen didn't seem to be "
Det Con Christine Freeman
sharon was found inside a bed. The apartment had elastic strap that prevented sharon from reaching the door. The search for Sharon had costed the police 3.2 million dollars. Matthew's siblings were ashamed of Matthew except one close friend of Matthew. They still did not know why it started in the first place. June Batley was the neighbour of where Sharon was kidnapped.

The death throes of Harare's hospitals

The hospital in Zimbabwe was empty. The patients that went there had no hope of getting treated in the empty hospital. The building was a school and a market with peeling wall papers. The hospital was officially closed down last friday. Before, the hospital were filled with attentive nurses and doctors and a lot of sick patients. The parking lot was full too.
IF someone wanted an expensive treatment, they would not get it because they could not access to their cash because the banks has a limited number of withdrawels. the public hospitals accept money but the patients that came to them, they had to turn them away because there are no nurses, drugs or doctors.

wished on a star

One night, was full moon
the crows and bats together crooned
then, a star fell out of sky
while it was raining sweets and pies
It landed on west witch's head
and it turned her into melted lead
and out ran a lad
who saw what happen and was glad
because west witch was evil
kind of like cruella de vil

the lad had wished, when the star fell
and seconds later, the witch had melt
now, he's skipping with joy
and accidentally got destroyed
when he skipped on the melted witch
and that was the glitch

you expected something bright
but, sorry, the lad was destroyed
let's all for him mourn
then, it is the witch's turn
this is where our story ends
for they were our friends

7 things that will come true

There are seven things that will come true
now, i'll try my best to prove
First will come is arts night
On lock-in, there'll be a pillow fight
In january, there'll be biomes talking
then, nightmares shall be stalking
We'll all recieve a F in grades
then a contest will come, on eating grapes
and last but not least
we shall have a feast
(these ain't true, so don't believe!!)
because it's silly, because of me
